AN ACT

RELATING TO THE PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE INDIAN AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT FOR OPERATIONAL FUNDS FOR A NEW DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTER IN BERNALILLO COUNTY SERVING NATIVE AMERICANS AND ALASKA NATIVES.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2018 for operational funds for a new domestic violence shelter in Bernalillo county serving Native Americans and Alaska Natives. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2018 shall revert to the general fund.
