    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred


HOUSE BILL 133, as amended


has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:


    1. On page 1, line 25, strike "complainant-centered" and insert in lieu thereof "trauma-informed".


    2. On page 7, line 4, strike "and". 


    3. On page 7, line 7, strike the period and insert in lieu thereof "; and".


    4. On page 7, between lines 7 and 8, insert the following new paragraph:


             "(7) "trauma-informed policy" means a program or system that realizes the widespread impact of trauma and understands potential paths for recovery; recognizes the signs and symptoms of trauma in clients, families, staff and others involved with the system; responds by fully integrating knowledge about trauma into policies, procedures and practices; and seeks to actively resist re-traumatization.".


    5. On page 7, line 13, strike "complainant-centered" and insert in lieu thereof "trauma-informed".


    6. On page 7, line 17, after "volunteer", strike the comma and insert in lieu thereof "or".


    7. On page 7, lines 17 and 18, strike "or regent".


    8. On page 12, line 9, strike "and". 



    9. On page 12, line 12, strike the period and closing quotation mark and insert in lieu thereof "; and".

 

    10. On page 12, between lines 12 and 13, insert the following new paragraph:


             "(6) "trauma-informed policy" means a program or system that realizes the widespread impact of trauma and understands potential paths for recovery; recognizes the signs and symptoms of trauma in clients, families, staff and others involved with the system; responds by fully integrating knowledge about trauma into policies, procedures and practices; and seeks to actively resist re-traumatization."".
