AN ACT

RELATING TO TRIBAL RECOGNITION; PROVIDING STATE RECOGNITION TO THE PIRO/MANSO/TIWA INDIAN TRIBE, PUEBLO OF SAN JUAN DE GUADALUPE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. [NEW MATERIAL] STATE RECOGNITION.--State recognition is hereby extended to the Piro/Manso/Tiwa Indian tribe, Pueblo of San Juan de Guadalupe. All laws of the state of New Mexico of general application to Indian nations, tribes and pueblos shall be applicable to the Piro/Manso/Tiwa Indian tribe, Pueblo of San Juan de Guadalupe, and its members.
