Your CORPORATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
HOUSE BILL 436, as amended
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 8, line 12, before "group", insert "small".
2. On page 8, line 13, after "issuer", insert "or multiple employer welfare arrangement" and after "a", insert "small".
3. On page 14, between lines 7 and 8, insert the following new subsection:
"L. Except as provided by state or federal rule or law, nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit a health insurance carrier from appropriately using reasonable health care cost management techniques.".
4. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.
5. On page 48, line 22, after "plan", insert "or group retiree health plan".
