    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 259, as amended

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 2, between lines 9 and 10, insert the following new subsection:

         "E. The provisions of this section shall not supersede the provisions of Section 21-1-16.1 NMSA 1978 relating to applicants or nominees for the position of president of a public institution of higher education.".

    2. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.
