Mr. President:

    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 309

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, between lines 24 and 25, insert the following new subsection:

         "B. Nothing in this section shall be construed to require payment for a gynecological or obstetrical ultrasound that is not:

             (1) medically necessary; or

             (2) a covered benefit.".

    2. On page 2, between lines 13 and 14, insert the following new subsection:

         "B. Nothing in this section shall be construed to require payment for a gynecological or obstetrical ultrasound that is not:

             (1) medically necessary; or

             (2) a covered benefit.".

    3. On page 3, between lines 4 and 5, insert the following new subsection:

         "B. Nothing in this section shall be construed to require payment for a gynecological or obstetrical ultrasound that is not:

             (1) medically necessary; or

             (2) a covered benefit.".

    4. On page 3, between lines 20 and 21, insert the following new subsection:

         "B. Nothing in this section shall be construed to require payment for a gynecological or obstetrical ultrasound that is not:

             (1) medically necessary; or

             (2) a covered benefit.".

    5. On page 4, between lines 12 and 13, insert the following new subsection:

         "B. Nothing in this section shall be construed to require payment for a gynecological or obstetrical ultrasound that is not:

             (1) medically necessary; or

             (2) a covered benefit.".

    6. On page 5, between lines 3 and 4, insert the following new subsection:

         "B. Nothing in this section shall be construed to require payment for a gynecological or obstetrical ultrasound that is not:

             (1) medically necessary; or

             (2) a covered benefit.".

    7. Reletter succeeding subsections to correspond with these amendments.,

and thence referred to the CORPORATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE.
