Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
SENATE CORPORATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR SENATE BILL 337
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 15, line 14, after "stakeholders", insert ", including rural providers, insurers and consumer advocates,".
2. On page 16, line 15, strike "RULEMAKING" and insert in lieu thereof "INFORMATION FROM PROVIDER NETWORKS".
3. On page 16, strike lines 16 through 18 in their entirety.
4. On page 16, line 19, strike the subsection designation "B." and insert in lieu thereof the subsection designation "A." and strike "by rule".
5. On page 16, line 22, strike the period and the closing quotation mark and insert in lieu thereof "; and" and between lines 22 and 23, insert the following new subsection:
"B. may require by rule a report on changes to the percent of claims paid as an emergency claim."".
6. On page 18, line 13, after "stakeholders", insert the following:
"; provided that no surprise bill reimbursement rate shall be paid at less than one hundred fifty percent of the 2017 medicare reimbursement rate for the applicable health care service provided".
