    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 397, as amended

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 3, line 9, strike the closing quotation mark.

    2. On page 3, between lines 9 and 10, insert a new subsection as follows:

         "D. As used in this section, "protected personal identifier information" means:

              (1)  all but the last four digits of a:

                   (a) taxpayer identification number;

                   (b) financial account number; or

                   (c) driver's license number;

              (2)  all but the year of a person's date of birth; and

              (3)  a social security number."".

    3. On page 3, line 12, after "PERSONAL", insert "IDENTIFIER".

    4. On page 3, line 19, strike "personal identifying" and insert in lieu thereof "protected personal identifier".

    5. On page 3, line 22, strike "personal".

    6. On page 3, line 23, strike "identifying" and insert in lieu thereof "protected personal identifier".

    7. On page 4, line 1, strike "personal identifying" and insert in lieu thereof "protected personal identifier".

    8. On page 4, line 4, strike "personal".

    9. On page 4, line 5, strike "identifying" and insert in lieu thereof "protected personal identifier".

    10. On page 4, line 16, strike the closing quotation mark.

    11. On page 4, between lines 16 and 17, insert a new subsection as follows:

         "F. As used in this section, "protected personal identifier information" means:

              (1)  all but the last four digits of a:
