    Your CONSERVATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 458

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 2, line 4, after "ten", insert "contiguous".

    2. On page 2, line 6, strike "Section" and insert in lieu thereof "Subsection".

    3. On page 3, between lines 3 and 4, insert the following new subsection:

         "E. The requirement for a hearing is waived if public input has been solicited pursuant to another state process or federal law. The commissioner of public lands shall by rule establish the procedures for a hearing held pursuant to this section.".

    4. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
