AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR THE NEW MEXICO DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE TO CONTRACT WITH THE UPPER RIO GRANDE WATERSHED DISTRICT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred eighty thousand dollars ($180,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2020 for the New Mexico department of agriculture to contract with the upper Rio Grande watershed district to plan and design breach analysis and inundation mapping for Sebastian Martin Black Mesa flood control dams 2, 5 and 6. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2020 shall revert to the general fund.
