AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO INCREASE PROVIDER REIMBURSEMENTS IN THE AGING NETWORK.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four million dollars ($4,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the aging and long-term services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2021 to increase provider reimbursements in the aging network. The department shall coordinate with the area agencies on aging to develop a method of distribution that prioritizes small, rural providers; providers at risk of closure or loss of services; and providers with waiting lists. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2021 shall revert to the general fund.
