AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PREPARE STUDENTS FOR COLLEGE AND CAREERS IN MATHEMATICS, ENGINEERING, SCIENCE OR TECHNICALLY RELATED FIELDS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the New Mexico institute of mining and technology for expenditure in fiscal year 2021 for mathematics, engineering and science pre-college programs that prepare students for college and careers in mathematics, engineering, science or technically related fields through after-school and summer enrichment programs. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2021 shall revert to the general fund.
