Mr. President:

    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 263

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 12, after "UNIT", insert "; MAKING AN

APPROPRIATION".

    2. On page 1, line 22, after "of", strike the remainder of the

line, strike line 23 in its entirety and strike line 24 through the

first occurrence of "and".

    3. On page 1, line 24, strike "0.06" and insert in lieu

thereof "0.054".

    4. On page 1, after line 25, insert the following new section:

"SECTION 2. APPROPRIATION.--Three million dollars ($3,000,000)

is appropriated from the general fund to the public education

department for expenditure in fiscal year 2021 to help offset the

costs of changing the fine arts education program cost differential

factor. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end

of fiscal year 2021 shall revert to the general fund.".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
