AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO PROVIDE HEALTH CARE WORKERS STATEWIDE WITH TRAINING ON AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE EARLY DETECTION OF RISK FOR CEREBRAL PALSY IN YOUNG CHILDREN.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal years 2022 and 2023 to fund the family, infant, toddler program's provision of training for and technical assistance to health care workers statewide for the early detection of risk for cerebral palsy in young children. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2023 shall revert to the general fund.
