FOR THE LEGISLATIVE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE

 

AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE AGING AND LONG-TERM SERVICES DEPARTMENT TO PURCHASE NEW-MEXICO-GROWN FRUITS AND VEGETABLES FOR SENIOR CENTER MEAL PROGRAMS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the aging and long-term services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2022 to purchase New-Mexico-grown fruits and vegetables for senior center meal programs; provided that not more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000) shall be used for associated program administration or promotion. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2022 shall revert to the general fund.
