AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS RELEASED FROM INCARCERATION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million one hundred thousand dollars ($2,100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2023 to provide transitional housing and behavioral health services for individuals recently released from incarceration. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2023 shall revert to the general fund.
