AN ACT

MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL SERVICE AND THE LEGISLATIVE FINANCE COMMITTEE FOR CONTRACT STAFF TO STUDY AND REPORT ON HEALTH-RELATED ISSUES TO SUPPORT POLICY DEVELOPMENT FOR IMPROVING HEALTH OUTCOMES STATEWIDE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($175,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the legislative council service for expenditure in fiscal year 2023 for contract staff to study and report on health-related issues to support policy development for improving health outcomes statewide. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2023 shall revert to the general fund.

     SECTION 2. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($175,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the legislative finance committee for expenditure in fiscal year 2023 for contract staff to study and report on health-related issues to support policy development for improving health outcomes statewide.
