AN ACT

MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO AND THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR UNIVERSITY ATHLETIC PROGRAMS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATIONS.--

          A. The following amounts are appropriated from the general fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2023:

                (1) one million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for university athletic programs; and

                (2) one million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for university athletic programs.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2023 shall revert to the general fund.
