Mr. Speaker:

 

    Your CONSUMER & PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

 

HOUSE BILL 446

 

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

 

 

     1. On page 2, line 13, after "state", insert "that is not otherwise required to provide at least four hours of dementia care training under state or federal law".

 

     2. On page 5, line 16, strike "shall" and insert in lieu thereof "may".

 

     3. On page 6, line 10, strike "and".

 

     4. On page 6, between lines 10 and 11, insert the following new paragraph:

 

                "(2) requiring dementia care training to be included as part of an annual continuing education training requirement for direct care service staff members at long-term care facilities; and".

 

     5. Renumber the succeeding paragraph accordingly.,

 

 

and thence referred to the HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE.
