Mr. President:
Your FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
SENATE BILL 11, as amended
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 4, between lines 10 and 11, insert the following
new subsection:
"J. "Indian tribe" means a federally recognized Indian
nation, tribe or pueblo, wholly or partially located in New Mexico,
a governmental unit, subdivision, agency, department or
instrumentality thereof or a business enterprise wholly owned by
such an Indian nation, tribe or pueblo;".
2. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.
3. On page 8, lines 4 and 5, strike "tribal governments,
wholly or partially located in New Mexico," and insert in lieu
thereof "Indian tribes".
4. On page 9, line 25, strike "equal" and insert in lieu
thereof "substantially similar".
5. On page 10, line 21, strike "equal" and insert in lieu
thereof "substantially similar".
6. On page 13, line 14, strike "four" and insert in lieu
thereof "eight".
7. On page 20, line 7, strike "four" and insert in lieu
thereof "eight".
8. On page 21, line 14, after "leave", insert "or upon
completion of an intermittent leave claim".
