AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION TO WIDEN PASEO DEL NORTE IN NORTHWEST ALBUQUERQUE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seven million dollars ($7,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal years 2024 and 2025 to widen paseo del Norte from two lanes to four lanes in northwest Albuquerque in Bernalillo county through the acquisition of rights of way, planning, designing and construction and matching of other state funds. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2025 shall revert to the general fund.
