AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT FOR THE OFFICE OF MILITARY BASE PLANNING AND SUPPORT TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR A READINESS AND ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION INTEGRATION AGREEMENT WITH THE CONSERVATION FUND PERTAINING TO APPROXIMATELY SEVEN THOUSAND ACRES OF LAND ADJACENT TO THE MELROSE AIR FORCE RANGE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2024 for office of military base planning and support management and administrative expenses for a readiness and environment protection integration agreement with the conservation fund pertaining to approximately seven thousand acres of land adjacent to the Melrose air force range. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2024 shall revert to the general fund.
