AN ACT

MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO THE CHILDREN'S TRUST FUND AND THE NEXT GENERATION FUND TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF GRANT FUNDING THAT CAN BE USED EACH YEAR TO SUPPORT PROGRAMS THAT PROTECT CHILDREN.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six million dollars ($6,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children's trust fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2025 and subsequent fiscal years to increase the amount of grant funding that can be used each year to support programs that protect children. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.

     SECTION 2. APPROPRIATION.--Four million dollars ($4,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the next generation fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2025 and subsequent fiscal years to increase the amount of grant funding that can be used each year to support programs that protect children. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
