AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR THE HEALTH SCIENCES CENTER'S STUDENT MENTORING PROGRAM TO PROVIDE GOVERNMENT TRAINING FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND MINORITY STUDENT SERVICES.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2025 for the health sciences center's student mentoring program to provide government training for high school students and minority student services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2025 shall revert to the general fund.
