AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES DEPARTMENT FOR TRAUMA-INFORMED TRAINING FOR ALL STAFF AND FOSTER FAMILIES.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. One million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal years 2025 through 2027 for trauma-informed training for all staff and foster families. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2027 shall revert to the general fund.

          B. The children, youth and families department shall not spend more than five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) per fiscal year for trauma-informed training for all staff and foster families.
