0001| AN ACT | 0002| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR WILDERNESS-BASED COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP | 0003| DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH. | 0004| | 0005| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO: | 0006| Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars | 0007| ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the mental health | 0008| division of the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 | 0009| for the purpose of contracting for wilderness-based community leadership | 0010| programs, for youth who fall along a continuum of risk, that use | 0011| wilderness activities and challenges with principles of experiential | 0012| education to build self-esteem and a positive youth culture.
