0001| AN ACT | 0002| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PARENT INVOLVEMENT WORKSHOPS IN THE | 0003| ALBUQUERQUE PUBLIC SCHOOLS. | 0004| | 0005| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO: | 0006| Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twelve thousand five hundred dollars | 0007| ($12,500) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department | 0008| of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 for the purpose | 0009| of conducting parent involvement workshops in the Albuquerque public | 0010| schools. The state department of education shall submit a program | 0011| evaluation to the legislative education study committee and the | 0012| legislative finance committee by November 1, 1996, detailing the | 0013| benefits of this program to the targeted population.
