FORTY-SECOND LEGISLATURE FIRST SESSION PROPOSED AMENDMENT DIRECTED TO A COMMITTEE February 15, 1995 Mr. Chairman: I propose to the SENATE CONSERVATION COMMITTEE the following amendments to SENATE BILL 528 1. On page 1, line 21, strike "state land office" and insert in lieu thereof "commissioner of public lands". 2. On page 2, line 6, strike "state land office" and insert in lieu thereof "commissioner of public lands". 3. On page 2, line 8, after the period insert: "Upon acquisition of Ute mountain, the commissioner shall attempt to trade the property for property of like value held by the United States bureau of land management. Ute mountain and any property obtained in a trade therefor shall be held in trust by the commissioner for the benefit of the common schools.". 4.
