0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND A PILOT PROGRAM FOR SELF-ASSESSMENT TESTING FOR USE BY SECONDARY SCHOOLS.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Sixty-five thousand dollars
    |
0016|     ($65,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state
    |
0017|     department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0018|     1997 to fund a pilot program to demonstrate and measure the
    |
0019|     effectiveness of the self-assessment testing model for use by
    |
0020|     secondary schools.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0021|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the
    |
0022|     general fund.
