0012|     MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO PROVIDE OR CONTRACT FOR STATEWIDE SAFE

0013|     WATER AND OTHER PROGRAMS FOR INDIGENT NEW MEXICANS.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATIONS.--
    |
0017|            A.  Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated
    |
0018|     from the general fund to the human services department for
    |
0019|     expenditure in fiscal year 1997 in the following amounts for the
    |
0020|     following purposes:
    |
0021|                 (1)  one million dollars ($1,000,000) to provide
    |
0022|     or contract for statewide safe water programs and services for
    |
0023|     indigent New Mexicans; and
    |
0024|                 (2)  one million dollars ($1,000,000) to provide
    |
0025|     or contract for statewide community supplemental block grant
    |
0001|     programs and services for indigent New Mexicans.
    |
0002|            B.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining
    |
0003|     at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
