0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand
    |
0017|     dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0018|     department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 for the
    |
0019|     purpose of providing or contracting for a statewide fetal
    |
0020|     alcohol syndrome prevention program and for community fetal
    |
0021|     alcohol syndrome prevention projects.  Any unexpended or
    |
0022|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997
    |
0023|     shall revert to the general fund.
