0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO HOMELESS AND

0013|     MENTALLY ILL VETERANS AND THEIR DEPENDENTS.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred twenty thousand six
    |
0017|     hundred fifty dollars ($220,650) is appropriated from the
    |
0018|     general fund to the New Mexico veterans' service commission for
    |
0019|     expenditure in fiscal year 1997 for the purpose of providing
    |
0020|     referral, job placement, housing and supportive social services
    |
0021|     to homeless and mentally ill veterans and their dependents.  Any
    |
0022|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0023|     fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
