0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT TO

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Three million dollars
    |
0018|     ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human
    |
0019|     services department for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 to
    |
0020|     provide or contract for community-based programs and services
    |
0021|     that provide homeless people with a continuum of care, including
    |
0022|     housing and shelter, income, training and jobs, and health and
    |
0023|     social services.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0024|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the
    |
0025|     general fund.
