0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR HAWTHORNE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN THE

0013|     CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Thirty-two thousand five
    |
0017|     hundred sixty-four dollars ($32,564) is appropriated from the
    |
0018|     general fund to the local government division of the department
    |
0019|     of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0020|     1997 for the purpose of implementing a gang and drug
    |
0021|     intervention pilot program for high-risk students at Hawthorne
    |
0022|     elementary school in the city of Albuquerque that will foster
    |
0023|     achievement, motivation and educational aspiration.  Any
    |
0024|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0025|     fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
