0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR COURT-APPOINTED ATTORNEYS' FEES.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One million seven hundred
    |
0016|     thousand dollars ($1,700,000) is appropriated from the general
    |
0017|     fund to the administrative office of the courts for expenditure
    |
0018|     in fiscal year 1997 for the purpose of enabling the courts to
    |
0019|     pay to attorneys adequate fees from the court-appointed attorney
    |
0020|     fee fund.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0021|     the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
