0012| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO EXPAND AND ENHANCE PROGRAMS AT THE

0013| SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE CENTER IN ALCALDE.

0015| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
|
0016| Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--
|
0017| A. Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is
|
0018| appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of
|
0019| New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 1997
|
0020| to expand and enhance programs at the sustainable agricultural
|
0021| science center in Alcalde. The appropriation shall be
|
0022| distributed in the following amounts to the following entities:
|
0023| (1) four hundred four thousand seven hundred
|
0024| eighty-five dollars ($404,785) to the cooperative extension
|
0025| service; and
|
0001| (2) ninety-five thousand two hundred fifteen
|
0002| dollars ($95,215) to the agricultural experiment station.
|
0003| B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining
|
0004| at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
