0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE COMMISSION ON HIGHER EDUCATION TO

0013|     FUND THE SEMICONDUCTOR WORK FORCE EDUCATION AND TRAINING

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars
    |
0018|     ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0019|     commission on higher education for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0020|     1997 for the purpose of expanding participation of community
    |
0021|     colleges statewide and providing funds for instructors,
    |
0022|     curriculum implementation, laboratory development, equipment
    |
0023|     operation and maintenance support for the semiconductor work
    |
0024|     force education and training program.  Any unexpended or
    |
0025|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997
    |
0001|         shall revert to the general fund.                     State of New Mexico
