0012| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF THE

0013| DISTRICT ATTORNEYS TO CONTINUE FUNDING FOR THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY

0014| AUTOMATION PROJECT.

0016| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
|
0017| Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--
|
0018| A. One million eight hundred eighty-seven thousand
|
0019| nine hundred sixty-two dollars ($1,887,962) is appropriated from
|
0020| the general fund to the administrative office of the district
|
0021| attorneys for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 for the purpose of
|
0022| funding the district attorney automation project. The following
|
0023| amounts are appropriated for the following purposes:
|
0024| (1) two hundred one thousand nine hundred
|
0025| dollars ($201,900) to purchase computer equipment;
|
0001| (2) ten thousand five hundred dollars ($10,500)
|
0002| to upgrade the classification of one full-time equivalent
|
0003| position;
|
0004| (3) eighty thousand six hundred dollars
|
0005| ($80,600) to create two full-time equivalent positions at the
|
0006| administrative office of the district attorneys;
|
0007| (4) seven hundred forty-nine thousand seven
|
0008| hundred forty dollars ($749,740) to upgrade computer hardware
|
0009| and software for the administrative office of the district
|
0010| attorneys;
|
0011| (5) twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) for
|
0012| technical training for the district attorney automation project
|
0013| staff;
|
0014| (6) two hundred seventy-nine thousand dollars
|
0015| ($279,000) to purchase communications equipment for the district
|
0016| attorney automation project;
|
0017| (7) one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for
|
0018| computer user training for the district attorney automation
|
0019| project staff;
|
0020| (8) ninety thousand dollars ($90,000) for
|
0021| special pilot projects related to the district attorney
|
0022| automation project;
|
0023| (9) seventy-three thousand seven hundred ten
|
0024| dollars ($73,710) for legal research;
|
0025| (10) one hundred eighteen thousand two hundred
|
0001| dollars ($118,200) to purchase laptop computers;
|
0002| (11) seventy-six thousand four hundred twelve
|
0003| dollars ($76,412) to purchase computer imaging; and
|
0004| (12) eighty-seven thousand nine hundred dollars
|
0005| ($87,900) to create two full-time equivalent positions and for
|
0006| operating and equipment expenses for the district attorney's
|
0007| office of the second judicial district.
|
0008| B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining
|
0009| at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
