0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE CITY OF SOCORRO'S POUNDERS

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Eighty-five thousand dollars
    |
0017|     ($85,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local
    |
0018|     government division of the department of finance and
    |
0019|     administration for expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and 1998 for
    |
0020|     the purpose of contracting with the city of Socorro to operate
    |
0021|     the pounders project, a program designed to help rehabilitate
    |
0022|     youth involved in gangs, drugs and violence.  Any unexpended or
    |
0023|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998
    |
0024|     shall revert to the general fund.
