APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars | 0017| ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of | 0018| regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in | 0019| fiscal year 1997 by the African-American studies department to | 0020| purchase history books, rare manuscripts and other documents by | 0021| and about African-Americans in New Mexico, including rare | 0022| photographs, films, slides, videotapes and artifacts; to | 0023| purchase computers and other equipment to catalog and use the | 0024| collection; and to provide stipends for two research assistants | 0025| at the Charlie Morrisey research hall. Any unexpended or | 0001| unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997 | 0002| shall revert to the general fund. | 0003|  |
