0013|     RELATING TO CAPITAL EXPENDITURES; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO

0014|     PLAN AND DESIGN A PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM IN THE SOUTH

0015|     VALLEY OF BERNALILLO COUNTY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0017|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0018|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars
    |
0019|     ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state
    |
0020|     highway and transportation department for expenditure in fiscal
    |
0021|     years 1996 and 1997 for the purpose of contracting for planning
    |
0022|     and designing of transportation systems that will serve the
    |
0023|     community residents of the south valley, including the elderly
    |
0024|     and disabled, located in Bernalillo county.  Any unexpended or
    |
0025|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997
    |
0001|     shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0002|       Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public 
    |
0003|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
