0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PLAN, DESIGN AND ENGINEER A

0013|     WASTEWATER SYSTEM FOR THE SANTA TERESA BORDER STATION AND THE

0014|     AREA ALONG THE NEW MEXICO-MEXICO BORDER; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars
    |
0018|     ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0019|     department of environment for expenditure in fiscal years 1996
    |
0020|     and 1997 for the purpose of planning, designing and engineering
    |
0021|     wastewater system facilities for the Santa Teresa border station
    |
0022|     and area along the New Mexico-Mexico border.  Any unexpended or
    |
0023|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997
    |
0024|     shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0025|       Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0001|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
