Your BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY COMMITTEE, to whom has
been referred
SENATE FLOOR SUBSTITUTE FOR SENATE BILL 108
has had it under consideration and reports same with
recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 1, line 12, after the semicolon insert "PROHIBITING
SALES ON CERTAIN LICENSED PREMISES BY RETAILERS AND DISPENSERS;".
2. On page 11, between lines 12 and 13, insert the following
new section:
"Section 3. Effective July 1, 1999, a new section of the
Liquor Control Act, Section 60-7A-10.1 NMSA 1978, is enacted to read:
"60-7A-10.1. [NEW MATERIAL] SALES ON CERTAIN LICENSED
PREMISES PROHIBITED.--It is a violation of the Liquor Control Act for
any retailer or dispenser, licensed under the provisions of the
Liquor Control Act to sell alcoholic beverages in unbroken packages
for consumption and not for resale off the licensed premises, to sell
alcoholic beverages from a licensed premises that is used by the
retailer or dispenser principally for a business other than the sale
of alcoholic beverages."".
3. Renumber the succeeding sections accordingly.,
and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
