0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR FINAL ENGINEERING AND RIGHT-OF-WAY

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred seventy-five
    |
0018|     thousand dollars ($675,000) is appropriated from the general
    |
0019|     fund to the state highway and transportation department for
    |
0020|     expenditure in fiscal years 1996 and 1997 for the purpose of
    |
0021|     final engineering and right-of-way acquisition related to
    |
0022|     constructing road and drainage improvements on Isleta boulevard
    |
0023|     from Rio Bravo boulevard to Bridge street in Bernalillo county. 
    |
0024|     This appropriation is contingent upon the county of Bernalillo
    |
0025|     providing six hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($675,000)
    |
0001|     in matching funds to the project.  Any unexpended or
    |
0002|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997
    |
0003|     shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0004|       Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0005|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
