0012| AMENDING SECTION 8-3-3 NMSA 1978 (BEING LAWS 1971, CHAPTER 138,

0013| SECTION 3, AS AMENDED) TO INCREASE THE SALARY OF THE LIEUTENANT

0016| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0017| Section 1. Section 8-3-3 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1971,
|
0018| Chapter 138, Section 3, as amended) is amended to read:
|
0019| "8-3-3. COMPENSATION.--For the performance of the duties
|
0020| established in Section 8-3-1 NMSA 1978, the lieutenant governor
|
0021| shall receive an annual compensation of [sixty-five thousand
|
dollars ($65,000)] eighty thousand dollars ($80,000)."
|
0023| Section 2. EFFECTIVE DATE.--The effective date of the
|
0024| provisions of this act is July 1, 1996.
