0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE NEW MEXICO OFFICE OF INDIAN

0013|     AFFAIRS FOR MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR NATURAL DISASTERS AND

0014|     CHEMICAL EMERGENCIES IN THE NAVAJO NATION; DECLARING AN

0015|     EMERGENCY.

0017|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0018|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars
    |
0019|     ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New
    |
0020|     Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal years
    |
0021|     1996 and 1997 for the purpose of funding management services for
    |
0022|     natural disasters and chemical emergencies in the Navajo nation. 
    |
0023|     Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0024|     fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0025|       Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0001|         peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
