0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred seventy-three
    |
0017|     thousand dollars ($473,000) is appropriated from the general
    |
0018|     fund to the state department of public education for expenditure
    |
0019|     in fiscal year 1997 for the purpose of hiring additional
    |
0020|     counselors for public schools in the city of Santa Fe located in
    |
0021|     Santa Fe county.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0022|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the
    |
0023|     general fund.
