0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF

0013|     COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY FOR THE MESA VISTA CONSOLIDATED SCHOOLS IN

0014|     TAOS AND RIO ARRIBA COUNTIES; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred thousand dollars
    |
0018|     ($800,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state
    |
0019|     department of public education for expenditure in fiscal years
    |
0020|     1996 and 1997 for the purpose of purchasing and installing
    |
0021|     educational computer technology, including accessories, for
    |
0022|     various Mesa Vista consolidated schools in Taos and Rio Arriba
    |
0023|     counties.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0024|     the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0025|       Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0001|         peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
