0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL

0013|     FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONTRACTING FOR THE PROVISION OF GUARDIANSHIP

0014|     SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE A DISABILITY DUE TO AGE OR

0015|     MENTAL ILLNESS OR A DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY.

0017|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0018|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred sixty-one
    |
0019|     thousand dollars ($361,000) is appropriated from the general
    |
0020|     fund to the office of the attorney general for expenditure in
    |
0021|     fiscal year 1997 for the purpose of contracting for the
    |
0022|     provision of guardianship services for individuals who have a
    |
0023|     disability due to age or mental illness or a developmental
    |
0024|     disability.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0025|     the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
