0012|     REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT TO CONDUCT A STUDY AND

0013|     COST ANALYSIS ON THE FEASIBILITY OF ESTABLISHING AN IMPROVEMENT

0014|     DISTRICT TO DESIGN AND CONSTRUCT A SANITARY SEWER PROJECT IN THE

0015|     TRADITIONAL HISTORIC BOUNDARIES OF THE AGUA FRIA COMMUNITY

0016|     LOCATED IN SANTA FE COUNTY.

0018|       WHEREAS, the Agua Fria community located outside the city
    |
0019|     of Santa Fe but in Santa Fe county currently has no sewer
    |
0020|     system, except for those areas that are served by the city of
    |
0021|     Santa Fe; and
    |
0022|       WHEREAS, the health and safety conditions of not having a
    |
0023|     sewer system, the quality of water and the shallow water table
    |
0024|     in the Agua Fria community located in Santa Fe county needs to
    |
0025|     be assessed; and 
    |
0001|       WHEREAS, as the Agua Fria community located in Santa Fe
    |
0002|     county continues to grow there will be more demand on county
    |
0003|     government to provide sewer facilities, thereby making the need
    |
0004|     to study the feasibility of creating an improvement district to
    |
0005|     design and construct a sanitary sewer project in the Agua Fria
    |
0006|     community greater; 
    |
0007|       NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE
    |
0008|     STATE OF NEW MEXICO that the department of environment be
    |
0009|     requested to conduct a study and cost analysis on the
    |
0010|     feasibility of establishing an improvement district to design
    |
0011|     and construct a sanitary sewer project in the traditional
    |
0012|     historic boundaries of the Agua Fria community located in Santa
    |
0013|     Fe county; and
    |
0014|       BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this memorial be sent
    |
0015|     to the secretary of environment.
